Graphic Designers should still be artist. Know your designer. If you're lucky, the graphic designer you use will have an art or design background, but there are some that still call themselves "artist" or "designers" and do not have any art or design talent or background which makes me wonder.
Here is some of my background.
Hardcopy information is key. All successful companies have great marketing tools and some of those tools include: brochures, rack cards, catalogs, posters, fliers, postcards, etc. which all contribute to that success.
Logos / Identity A strong brand makes a strong company... how strong is yours?
More than just a business card. Although it might seem small, a business card represents your company in a powerful way.
If the only thing a potential client might know about your company is from your business card, wouldn't you want the best representation possible?
Your exhibit is on exhibit. Your tradeshow exhibit or large marketing items should be an extension of your company, so if it looks bad, cheap, thrown together or just complete chaos... well then what do you think they will think of your company?
Your Website... just another tool? Your website is only as strong as your company brand. If you don't have an image, but think you just need a website, think again, websites are just another extension of your marketing arsenal and (yes) are important, but just as much as everything else... they all work together.
